New musical attraction coming to Lake Compounce

Lake Compounce has partnered with The Fred Rogers Company to debut a new musical show for the 2018 season.

Daniel Tiger and his friends will be joining the Lake Compounce family of characters in a new musical stage show, Daniel’s Grr-ific Day.

Daniel’s Grr-ific Day will open summer 2018 starring Daniel Tiger, the main character from the award-winning animated preschool series, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, along with his friend Katerina Kittycat.

After the show, kids will have the opportunity to meet and greet Daniel Tiger and Katerina.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Lake Compounce to bring the world of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood from the small screen to the stage,” said Paul Siefken, President & CEO of The Fred Rogers Company. “This lively new stage show will have kids and parents alike singing and dancing along while it also conveys important messages that will continue to resonate long after the curtain call.”

“We are so excited to bring such a beloved character from The Fred Rogers Company into Lake Compounce” said Jerry Brick, General Manager of Lake Compounce. “Daniel Tiger has brought joy into millions of homes and we can’t wait for our guests to see our new stage show starring Daniel and his friend Katerina.”

The Fred Rogers Company was founded by Fred Rogers in 1971 as the non-profit producer of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood for PBS.

The company’s award-winning children’s series include Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Peg + Cat and Odd Squad.
