Agencies partner with For Goodness Sake

For Goodness Sake provides direct aid, such as furniture and basic household needs

For Goodness Sake announced that it will be working with two new partner agencies, Family Promise of Central CT and the Renato Network. Partner agencies are able to refer people in need to For Goodness Sake, where they can come and pick out items to furnish their new homes.

Founded in 2013, Family Promise of Central CT, based in New Britain, supports homeless families with children through a Day Center offering social work support and other resources to help with employment, education, and independent living. At night, the families are hosted by local churches.

The Renato Network is part of Central Naugatuck Valley Help, Inc., based in Waterbury, whose mission is to integrate people in recovery into their communities and improve the quality of their lives through mental health and substance abuse treatment.

With the addition of Family Promise and the Renato Network as partner agencies, For Goodness Sake now accepts referrals from nearly 30 local agencies, helping people in Central Connecticut who are making the transition to independent living and are in need due to certain life situations.

For Goodness Sake provides direct aid, such as furniture and household goods, making an empty space into a home.

The organization accepts gently used furniture and household goods from the community and distributes them to people in need, serving families and individuals in Bristol, Burlington, Farmington, Harwinton, New Britain, Plainville, Plantsville, Plymouth, Southington, West Hartford, and Wolcott.

Clients must be referred from a partner agency.
