Third Annual Bow Wow Bark in the Park Slated for Sept 2


Alexandria Paulette Bow Wow Bark in the Park Host is inviting all furry friends and their two-legged family members to the third annual Bow Wow Bark in the Park on Saturday September 2nd at Rockwell Park in Bristol from 10-6

This is an event to raise awareness for pitbulls and shelter animals. All proceeds raised are donated to the rescues who attend the event.

Admission is free, but consider bringing an item to donate to a shelter in need.

“We are also excited to add this year our first ever Pitty March at 1:00 around the Park. We invite all our friendly, leashed, vaccinated friends of all breeds to join us for this walk to show our love for this wonderful yet misunderstood breed.” said Paulette

There will be food, over 100 confirmed vendors, animal shelters and rescues, contests, an agility Course, raffles and more.

All dogs will receive an official bow wow goodie bag upon arrival.

There will be a costume contest and a talent show. All participants will receive a prize and larger prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place (worth $10-$50).

Raffle tickets will be $1 each and $5 for the grand prize raffle worth over $250 (you do not have to be present to win)

Important Information:

Please use your own judgment when deciding if your dog would be okay at this event. All dogs should feel safe and happy. If you bring a pet make sure they are friendly (both dog and human friendly) vaccinated, leashed, comfortable in large crowds and with loud noise.

CHAPLIN — Connecticut State Police said a three-car crash led to a fatality Tuesday morning. At around 6:30 a.m., State Police said they responded to the area of 359 Hampton Road in Chaplin for a three car crash.
