Animal Control

Animal control officers can be contacted at the Animal Shelter located on Vincent P. Kelly Road across from the Bristol Public Works Department or by calling (860) 584-3087.

If the call is an emergency, call the Bristol Police Department at (860) 584-3011.

The Bristol animal shelter is not equipped to pick up cats. If you have a stray or unwanted cat, contact the Connecticut Humane Society or call (860) 594-4502.

If you have a general wildlife problem such as a skunk in the yard or a bee’s nest, please contact the Department of Environmental Protection. or call (860) 424-3333.

BETHEL — One man is dead following a car crash involving a tractor-trailer on I-84 early Sunday morning. PORTLAND — A fire has broken out at the popular wedding venue in Portland Sunday afternoon. Firefighters say they have responded to Saint Clements Castle and Marina on Portland-Colbalt Road for a fire. They say they received calls around 1:17 p.m. of the blaze.
