Chippanee Country Club Seek Public’s Help to Solve Continuing Golf Cart Thefts

Chippanee Country Club

Juan Rodriguez, General Manager of Chippanee Country Club says “Something changed in the Hill Street/Marsh Road area of Bristol over the last couple of months.”

“We never had this type of vandalism at Chippanee Country Club. Over the last month, we had 11 golf carts stolen from our property.” said Rodriguez.

The first nine golf carts were stolen from the premises by hot wiring them and taking them off road and completely destroying them at a cost of thousands of dollars to the Club.

The Club was able to recover those nine carts in different fields near the club. The carts were almost totaled.

However on another night someone broke into the Club’s cart barn through one of the barn vents and stole two brand new carts at a cost to the Club of $14,000.00.

So far they have not been able to recover those.

“I’m ask from the public to keep an eye for these carts driving down the road and to call the Bristol Police Department, or, Chippanee Country Club if you see them.”

Chippanee Country Club is a privately owned, family oriented club, located in the Chippens Hill section of Bristol.

Bristol Police are currently investigating the robberies.
