Bristol Press Deletes All Articles Before April 2017, Many Controversial Articles Gone

Bristol Press Storefront

It appears articles in the Bristol Press before 4/4/17 have been deleted.

Articles about important information about the community, including obituaries have been deleted.

However for the right price, you can buy them.

The move blocks articles like Bristol resident Gary Schaffrick.

Schaffrick was recently sentenced to 10 years of jail. Schaffrick was originally accused of bathing nude with a 5-year-old boy.

Additionally, articles about Bristol Mayor Ken Cockayne regarding his censuring no longer appear on the Bristol Press website.

An article in the Hartford Courant is still up and provides more details into the censuring.

If articles about top level officials and their mishaps in the City are deleted, one could only imagine how many articles about individuals engaging in crime are also gone. It is alarming.

Bristol is a sprawling city with over 60,000 people that want to be informed. The Bristol Press states it’s been helping build the community since 1871.

Bristol Press owner Michael Schroeder could not be reached for comment.

Malloy to use his executive authority to temporarily run state government. If no budget agreement is ready next week, House Speaker […]
