Tired of Subway? Miss D’Angelo Sandwich Shop? Tired of Subway??

Well, Firehouse Subs is set to open up a new location in Bristol. The new Bristol restaurant will be their second location in the State.

The first Firehouse Subs made its Connecticut debut in Glastonbury last year.

The national chain is famous for their specialty subs that are packed with meat and cheese and steamed hot.

So far there is no set date for the restaurant to open. Firehouse Subs will be located at Pier One Imports Plaza across the street from Bristol Plaza on Rt. 6.

The chain was founded by former firefighting brothers Robin and Chris Sorensen. They have made it a part of their mission since 1994 to give back to first responders.

A portion of all sales goes towards the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation which is used to provide lifesaving equipment to medics, firefighters, and police officers.

To date, the Foundation has granted over $25 million to hometown heroes.
