Hey Bristol, Remove Your Name From This Website Now!

True People Search

Another website is raising concern due to the large amount of personal information it makes readily available for free.

True People Search is making personal information easily accessible on their site.

The site prompts you to search a name, and possibly a zip code, into a search bar.

Based solely on those two pieces of information, you can find out that person’s age, phone numbers, current address, past address and relatives.

True People Search said in their “About” section that their mission was to help people find lost family and friends.

Create the most powerful people search service in the world and give it away for free,” the site states. “That’s our mission statement here at TruePeopleSearch.com. We want to make finding lost friends & family as easy as possible. We noticed the other free people search sites out there weren’t very powerful, and the most powerful sites were too expensive. We wanted the best of both worlds! So we created this site for everyone to use for free. It’s super powerful. You can find just about anyone in the US. And it’s really easy to use. It works equally well on your desktop, smartphone or tablet.”

It can be alarming to see so much personal information on one page, but fortunately the site gives you the option to have your information removed.

To do so, navigate to truepeoplesearch.com/removal. After checking off a disclaimer and verifying that you’re not a robot, you’ll be able to pull up your record and flag it for removal.

WASHINGTON DC — As survivors of Wednesday’s school shooting demand that it be the last such massacre, marches are being planned around the country to amplify the students’ message that action must be taken to end gun violence. The marches share one mission: to put pressure on Congress to pass gun reform and make schools safer. Fourteen students and three teachers were killed and many injured when a gunman opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida […]

Fergie’s rendition of National Anthem at NBA All-Stars game leaves many confused

LOS ANGELES — Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie sung the National Anthem yesterday at the NBA All-Stars game, and her rendition left many confused. She opted for a more “bluesy” version of the song, and a good portion of people watching weren’t buying it.  Although Fergie was on pitch,  her tempo, musical accompaniment and “sexy” delivery was seen as the wrong choice for the song and the venue. I’ve seen the national anthem performed hundreds of times but never in […]

The child attended Columbus Magnet School  in Norwalk. Principal Medard Thomas said that counselors would be available at the school to help children, staff, and parents process the tragedy. The faculty will be meeting with counselors before school begins, and then will have grief counselors available for parents in the school library. More social […]

Black ice possible Monday morning; Warmer temps later this week

Black ice possible Monday morning; Warmer temps later this week

Get ready for a BIG warm-up that will end up challenging and possibly shattering Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s record high temperatures. There will be a couple of chances of rain, but nothing significant that would cause any flooding.   After the mid-week warm-up, a cold front will crash through and drop us back to the 50’s on Thursday and 40’s on Friday, still well above average for this time of year. Next significant storm may bother us by the weekend with periods […]
