Fire Fly Brewery has a great lineup this week.

On Thursday 4/20, Fire Fly Brewery will have Moonrise Amber back on tap to accompany their 7 other delicious draft offerings.

Moonrise will be available by the pint in the taproom and for growler fills to go.

Sonny’s Grinders food truck will be joining Fire Fly, try their fresh and flavorful menu offerings including grinders, dumplings and lettuce wraps!

On Friday 4/21, their Cask of the Day is New Departure Pale Ale dry hopped with Idaho 7 Hop Hash.

Ziggy’s Schnitzels & Brats food truck will be here, enjoy a juicy bratwurst with your favorite pint.

On Saturday 4/22 Fire Fly will not have a food truck but you’re welcome to bring in your own food, order delivery or enjoy fresh made daily Harvest Bakery soft pretzels (while supplies last).

On Sunday 4/23 Wires & Wood returns to the taproom and will be playing bluegrass music live from 2-4pm.

‘Volunteer Fighter Day’ celebrated in hopes of building the force

BLOOMFIELD — Firefighters across Connecticut opened up their station’s doors Sunday to celebrate “Volunteer Firefighter Day.” More than 60 fire houses across the state held an open house where visitors got the chance to talk to firefighters about their work, see demonstrations, and get a tour of the fire house. The event was also a recruitment effort for local departments. More than 80-percent of all fire personnel in Connecticut are volunteers and many departments are facing a shortage of personnel.
