City of Bristol Top 50 Wage Earners

Superintendent of Schools Ellen Solek

Information provided to The Roundup by the City of Bristol reveals the top 50 wage earners for the City in 2016 were education professionals and public safety workers who logged plenty of overtime to boost their pay above their base salaries.

The release of the annual salary list comes as the City recently negotiated pay increases for the Mayor and City Council and possible layoffs for Bristol teachers amid budgetary pressures from City Hall.

NEW HAVEN — A raid on a house in New Haven on Tuesday led to the arrest of a man accused of shooting a 13-year-old. Police said they arrested Charles Worthington, 21, at his home at 39 Lilac Street. HAMDEN — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a Wal-Mart shoplifter.
