Man Assaulted & Robbed at Page Park

Bristol Police report at approximately 8:00 p.m. Friday a 28-year-old male fled to a nearby residence on Moody Street after being robbed at Page Park. The homeowner called Bristol Police and several officers responded.

A description was provided on the suspect vehicle and officers were able to locate and stop the vehicle. Two suspects were detained and subsequently arrested after the victim identified the two as the individuals involved in the robbery.

The victim was assaulted by both suspects and then had his money and possessions forcibly taken from him as they were parked in Page Park. The victim was then told to get out of the vehicle.

The victim declined any medical attention as he sustained facial injuries.

Jeffrey Bowman, 18, of 821 Old Turnpike Road in Southington was charged with Robbery Second, Larceny Second, Assault Third Degree, Breach of Peace Second, Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Failure to Maintain Auto Insurance, Possession with Intent to Sell Illegal Drugs and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bowman was held on a $50,000 bond.

Also arrested was Amarillys Nieves, 21, of 4 Parkview Drive in Plantsville. She was charged with Robbery Second, Larceny Second, Assault Third Degree and Breach of Peace in the Second Degree. She was issued a $25,000 bond and also held on a Remand to Custody for a Parole Violation.

Both are to be presented at Bristol Superior Court on Monday.

BREAKING: Fatal crash closes I-91S in Enfield

ENFIELD – Connecticut State Police say a one-car rollover has killed one person on I-91 in Enfield.  The southbound highway is closed while the crash is investigated and cleared.
