Martin: Say No to Taxing Home Heating Oil

At a recent public hearing, the legislature’s Environment Committee heard testimony on a proposal to tax your home heating oil. You can tell legislators this is simply a bad idea.

  • Submit your testimony by email at ENVtestimony@cga.ct.gov
  • put “No on Bill #7247” in the subject line. The email can be as long or short as you want.
  • Remember to include your name and town where you live.

Also, share this information with seniors, people on fixed incomes, and others who are sick and tired of tax hikes!

State Senator Henri Martin

Assistant Senate Republican Majority Leader Henri Martin is serving his second term representing Connecticut’s 31st Senatorial District, which includes Bristol, Harwinton, Plainville, Plymouth and Thomaston.

In Bristol city government, Senator Martin served as Chairman of Salary Committee, Chairman of Building Committee and Chairman of Bristol Public Work Committee. He has been Liaison to the Bristol Board of Education, Bristol Downtown Development Committee and the Bristol/Burlington Health District.

He has also been a member of Bristol’s 10-Year Capital Improvement Committee and Public Works Board.
