On Saturday, March 18, 2017, the Shamrock Road Race returns to Chippens Hill Middle School on James P. Casey Road for the 15th year.

The 2/5 mile run starts at 9:15. The registration fee for 2 & 5 mile run/walk is $22.00.

The Kids Fun Run has a $5.00 registration fee and strollers are welcomed.

Registering online is encouraged but in-person registration on run day will be accepted.

In partnership with Boy Scout Troop 6 the run is collecting can goods on race day to distribute to the Bristol Salvation Army.

This years primary beneficiary is Saint Vincent DePaul.

Saint Vincent DePaul Society is a non-profit organization that plays a vital role in the community by providing shelter, food, counseling and referral services with dignity for people in need.  They operate a 25 bed homeless shelter, a 10 family women with children transitional center and a 13 unit transitional living center for single men.

Last years 14th Annual Shamrock Run & Walk was a huge success which was evidenced by the committee presenting a check for $14,000 to the shelter and hosting over 2700 athletes.

Not only was it a great fundraising event for the shelter, it helped raise awareness within the community of the good work being done for those less fortunate.

Since the race inception in 2003 the event has raised over $140K for the shelter.

Race officials, Bristol CERT, and BPD officers will be on hand to assist motorists in the area.
