Armed Robbery at Rt. 6 Gas Station: Police

At approximately 9:00 p.m. Saturday a lone male walked into the Citgo Food Bag store, 54 Farmington Ave., and committed an armed robbery of the business.

The cashier described the suspect as white, approximately in his mid 20’s with short dark hair and a mustache.

The suspect was further described as approximately 5’8” and weighing between 130-140 pounds wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

The cashier said the suspect displayed a small handgun and demanded the drawer to the cash register. The cashier complied and the suspect then exited the business with the drawer, got into a parked vehicle by one of the gasoline pumps and fled the scene.

The cashier was not injured in the incident. Suspect vehicle is possibly a black-colored Mercedes.

The incident remains under investigation by both the Patrol and Criminal Investigation’s Divisions of the Bristol Police Department. The suspect got away with an undetermined amount of cash in the drawer.

ENFIELD – Connecticut State Police say a one-car rollover has killed one person on I-91 in Enfield.  The southbound highway is closed while the crash is investigated and cleared.
