The Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce, the second largest Chamber in Connecticut, announce the re-organization of the Legislative Action Committee and the appointment of Paul S. Lavoie as Chairman of the Committee.

“As our elected officials continue to deal with the serious issues facing our State, our Central Connecticut Chamber business community needs a strong and unified voice regarding legislation and important issues,” stated Susan Sadecki, Chairman of the Board of the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce (CCCC). “We have reorganized our committee to include legislative leaders from each of our affiliates under the direction of a regional chairman. This will allow us to properly represent all of our chamber affiliates and have a unified legislative platform and a strong business presence.”

“We are pleased to have Paul S. Lavoie, VP of Sales, Marketing and Human Resources for ETTER Engineering, to accept the position as Chairman of this critical committee”, stated Cindy Scoville, President and CEO of the CCCC. “Paul is a passionate supporter of the business community and has done an outstanding job as a longtime member of our committee. He brings common sense, strong leadership and a desire to work with our business leaders to help create a positive business climate for our Chamber members”, concluded Scoville.

The Legislative Action Committee meets on a monthly basis to review important issues facing our business community and set the legislative agenda for the Chamber. In addition, the committee hosts the Annual Legislative Breakfast, meets with Elected Officials on a regular basis and sponsors candidate debates and other candidate and elected official forums.

The Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce includes the Chambers of Plymouth, Burlington, Bristol, Bloomfield, Farmington, Plainville and Wolcott.
