Webster Bank announced that Amy Jakobeit has taken on leadership responsibilities in the greater Bristol area.

 

Amy Jakobeit of Bristol, senior vice president and director of the Customer Care Center, has been elected president of the board of United Way Meriden/Wallingford in Connecticut, where she has served as a volunteer for more than 17 years.

Jakobeit’s most recent roles have been vice president of the board, chair of the allocations process, and member of the Finance Committee. Prior roles include loaned executive and secretary of the board of directors.

The United Way Meriden/Wallingford is a volunteer-driven organization that redirects human and financial resources to create opportunities for positive change in our communities.

Jakobeit also volunteers her time to support the Girl Scouts of Connecticut, where she is currently working to help establish a formal, centralized call center in North Branford. She is also a parent volunteer of Troop 66607 in Bristol.
