Last weekend Bristol Police was alerted that a victim of a stabbing had been transport to Bristol Hospital Emergency Department by a private citizen.

The victim, a 30 year old Bristol resident, was suffering from multiple stab wounds to his upper torso. His injuries appeared to be life threatening.

The victim was transported via Life Star Helicopter to a Hartford Hospital. He underwent surgery and is in critical condition.

The persons that drove the victim to Bristol Hospital remained at the hospital and are cooperating with police. They reported they found the victim on the side of the road in the area of 361 King Street.

They put the victim in their vehicle and transported him to Bristol Hospital.

Neighbor Ann Conroy told NBC 30 “I’m very surprised because this is a good town and this area is great. We don’t have anything like this happen.”

Antwain Berry also said to NBC 30 that he was: “Very surprised. You know this is a real quiet neighborhood. We’re all in cahoots with each other, so stuff like this, it shakes the neighborhood up. It scares people,” added Antwain Berry.

Ron LaFountaine told WFSB “I was sleeping and I just heard a lot of yelling,” LaFountaine said. “It lasted about maybe 15 minutes, I didn’t see anything … and I went back to bed.”

Craig Tanguay also told WFBS “There’s no need for violence, we don’t want anything to happen to anyone, and we want people to live in peace.”

Police are asking anyone who may have information related to this incident to call 860-584-3000.
