Additional $2 million released for electric vehicle rebates

HARTFORD — The state of Connecticut is releasing $2 million in additional funding to continue a consumer rebate program for residents, businesses and municipalities that purchase or least eligible electric vehicles. Under the Connecticut Hydrogen and Electric Automobile Purchase Rebate Program, consumers can receive cash rebates ranging from $750 to $5,000. Trump delays policy on importing elephant parts

President Donald Trump says he’s delaying a new policy allowing the body parts of African elephants shot for sport to be imported until he can review “all conservation facts.” The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said Thursday that it will allow the importation of body parts from African elephants shot for sport. The agency said encouraging wealthy big-game hunters to kill the threatened species would help raise money for conservation programs. SOUTH GLASTONBURY —  This evening was a special night for the non-profit group- Intercommunity who celebrated 40 years of helping the Greater Hartford community. FOX61’s Jenn Bernstein and Lorenzo Hall joined Friday night’s celebration in South Glastonbury for their largest fundraiser of the year. The organization is a community based health organization and it provides same-day access to primary care, mental health and addiction services, and helps thousands of families every year regardless of their ability to pay for services.
