Downtown entrance to Memorial Boulevard set for quick makeover

Veterans’ Memorial Park and Boulevard

The City of Bristol Department of Public Works will be performing roadwork on Memorial Boulevard (Main Street to Grass Median West of Willis Street) & Willis Street (South Street to East Road) Friday September 30, 2016.

The work will consist of milling off the existing bituminous pavement surface. New pavement is scheduled to be installed the week of October 3, 2016.

The work is anticipated to start during the morning commute, therefore please expect traffic delays during construction. Alternate travel routes are suggested, however the road will remain open for mail delivery, emergency vehicles, and local traffic at all times. Temporary “No Parking” signs have been posted in effected areas.

NAUGATUCK — Two adults and one child were inside a home when a fire started early Thursday morning.
